Karen Rariden Returns to Chicago, Becoming Assistant ND for WBBM
Karen Rariden has returned to Chicago. CBS O&O WBBM welcomed Rariden back to the Windy City this month, appointing her assistant news director.
Rariden worked as an executive producer for Chicago CW-affiliate WGN from 1999 to 2001.
She succeeds Don DuPree at WBBM, who left the station last year to become the director of Roger Ebert‘s new “At the Movies” show.
Rariden most recently worked as an executive producer for CBS O&O KYW in Philadelphia.
“Karen is a highly experienced newsroom leader with proven successes in managing the producing and production of daily newscasts,” the station said in a news release.
