To cheer up San Francisco 49ers fans in the wake of their team’s Super Bowl defeat, KRON reporter Justine Waldman resorted to giving out hugs during her post-game live shots. After an awkward interview with a man in a 49ers jersey (“It was a very close game. It was going to be decided by a lot of … whatevers,” the fan said), Waldman asked if he needed a hug (video above).

“That’s what we’re doing out here in the Marina. We’re just consoling sad 49ers fans,” Waldman said. “Back to you.”
