Los Angeles stations were on-air when a 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck the region.
Other than a whole lot of anchors grabbing their desks and saying “Whoa!” there were no reports of injuries or damage.
The anchors at CW affiliate KTLA had the most dramatic reaction to the jolt. Though, having been in a studio during an earthquake, TVSpy can attest to the fear of hoping the safety chains on the hot lights rattling above your head were put on correctly. See the video after the jump.
According to KTLA, the US Geological Survey said the temblor was centered six miles north of Beverly Hills.
CBS owned KCBS might want to get their set looked at. The station was on a four shot when the jolt hit and the set looked like it was about to fall down. Also, one of the anchors could be heard saying “That’s about a six or more,” before knowing the actual magnitude.
