Meteorologist Vanessa Murdock Joins WCBS

Vanessa Murdock is the newest addition to CBS owned-and-operated WCBS in New York City. She joins the station next Monday as weekend morning meteorologist and weekday reporter.

Murdock joins WCBS from WTKR, the CBS-affiliate in Norfolk, where she has been forecasting the weather since 2006. Murdock, a Long Island native, is also an adjunct instructor of meteorology at Virginia Wesleyan College.

“We are pleased to welcome Vanessa back to New York,” WCBS news director David Friend said in a statement.  “Vanessa is an outstanding meteorologist, both on air and as a college instructor and we look forward to having her join Don Dahler and Cindy Hsu on our weekend morning news team.”
