Lucimarian Roberts, the mother of WWL anchor Sally-Ann Roberts and “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts, died yesterday in Mississippi. She was 88.

Despite the effects of Hurricane Issac to south Louisiana and Mississippi, both the Roberts sisters were able to travel to the Gulf Coast to be with her mother before she died.

Robin will be off from “GMA” in the coming months as she undergoes a bone marrow transplant to treat her MDS. Sally-Ann, who is Robin’s donor, was in New York with her sister this week as the pair undergoes final preparations for the procedure.
