Kyle Montgomery is joining KPRC as the weekend sports anchor, Houston media blogger Mike McGuff reports.

Montgomery joins the Houston NBC-affiliate from the Raycom Sports ACC digital nework, where he has worked since last year.

“I plan to provide viewers with a fun, exciting and enjoyable sports experience as much as possible and I’m anxious to become a part of the Houston community,” Montgomery told McGuff. “If you see me out and about give me a shout or a glass of water if you see me struggling with the heat.”

Montgomery begins at KPRC on June 13. He replaces Winston Dutchin, who recently left the station for Seattle.
