With New York icon Sue Simmons set to anchor her final newscast at WNBC tonight, Jack Cafferty, her former “Live at Five” co-anchor, says that the on-air bloopers she’s notorious for are integral to her legacy.
“Her ‘bloopers’ are a part of who she is. This is New York, after all,” Cafferty told FishbowlNY. “The only people who will hold them against her are the ‘suits,’ who, in my experience, tend to be humorless.”
Less than a month ago, Simmons gave viewers perhaps her final blooper at WNBC when she was caught talking about her breast.
