Seattle Reporter Unaware He’s Live, Says Nothing Offensive

yawzinski_kcpq_baseballTom Yazwinski, reporter for Seattle FOX affiliate KCPQ, ably demonstrated the importance of talking about safe subjects like baseball instead of politics or religion while one is at work.

When anchors Bill Wixey and Kaci Atchison tossed to Yazwinski for his live tease on the station’s morning news, Yazwinski said, “I’d be happy man,” as if talking to someone off camera. “Rangers, to me, are a sinking ship.”

TVSpy guesses he only offended Seattle’s Texas Rangers fans. Watch the video after the jump. Read more

Morgan Freeman Dozes Off During Interview with KCPQ

Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman played a real life version of Highlights magazine’s “Goofus and Gallant” during a live interview with Seattle FOX affiliate KCPQ.

Caine played “Gallant” to Freeman’s “Goofus” during the junket for their latest film “Now You See Me,” addressing anchors Bill Wixey and Kaci Aitchison by name and telling them about the magic tricks seen in the film. Freeman played counterpoint by nodding off. Though Caine asked, “Is this the last one?” after the two thought their mics were off, giving the impression they were at the end of a long day of answering the same question again and again. Anchor Lily Jang Announces She Will Leave KCPQ

Lily Jang, an anchor at Seattle Fox-affiliate KCPQ, is leaving the station after seven years.

“I’m leaving Q13 and moving home to Houston,” she wrote on Facebook. “My immigrant parents worked their entire lives for my brother and me and gave us our American dreams. Now that dad’s facing Parkinson’s, I’m leaving a job I love for my family that comes first.”

Jang is KCPQ’s longtime morning anchor. Alongside Bill Wixey, she helms four hours of programming each weekday morning. She will continue to work at KCPQ through early 2012.
