WKRC Swaps Morning Anchors

Cincinnati.com is reporting, CBS affiliate WKRC will swap its weekday and weekend morning anchors beginning Monday.

Weekend morning anchor Tiffany Wilson will move to the weekday morning show, while weekday morning anchor Liz Bonis will switch to Saturday mornings.

Wilson will co-anchor the 4:30 to 7 a.m. show with John Lomax and the 7 to 8 a.m. show with Bob Herzog. Read more

WKRC traffic reporter Bob Herzog continued his popular “Dance Party Friday” segments this year, bringing his moves to the Cincinnati CBS affiliate’s morning newscast once a week. Herzog has compiled an end of year “Best Of” series of the segments.

WKRC’s Bob Herzog to Leave Weekend Anchor Desk

WKRC is scaling back anchor duties for Bob Herzog, who works six days a week at the Cincinnati CBS-affiliate, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

In addition to being the morning traffic reporter for WKRC, Herzog anchors the 7 a.m. hour on WKRC’s CW-affiliated subchannel and anchors WKRC’s weekend morning newscast, meaning he works six-day weeks.

Going forward, Herzog’s weekend co-anchor Tiffany Wilson will be anchoring the Saturday morning newscast solo, news director Kirk Varner told the Enquirer.

Herzog, who joined WKRC in 2005, is famous for his “Dance Party Fridays.”

Conan O’Brien: KTLA Morning Team Is the Reason ‘China Is Kicking Our Ass’

Local newscasters have become the regular butt of jokes on Conan O’Brien‘s show and on Thursday night he took aim at the KTLA morning team.

In a segment titled “Why China Is Kicking Out Ass,” O’Brien played a clip of a recent “dance party Friday” at KTLA (video above).

“Those are news broadcasters,” O’Brien said following the clip. “They’re there to tell us what’s happening in the world.”  (Somewhere WKRC’s Bob Herzog is smiling, or cringing).

“It’s just insane,” WKRC’s Bob Herzog told the Cincinnati Enquirer this week about being named the hottest traffic reporter in the country.

Herzog edged out nine women for the #1 spot on the Top 10 list–compiled by Jalopnik–based on the YouTube notoriety of his “Dance Party Friday” segments (video above).
