KTXL Hires Alisa Becerra As Morning Anchor, And Adds Evening Newscast

KTXL has announced some programming changes going in to the new year: the Sacramento Fox-affiliate will add a 6 p.m. newscast, and has hired Alisa Becerra (pictured) to be the new morning anchor.

Becerra joins KTXL on December 5 from KSBW, the NBC-affiliate in Salinas. She replaces Ama Daetz, who left the station last month.

In January, KTXL is set to launch a 6 p.m. newscast anchored by Eric Harryman, the Sacramento Business-Journal reports. The station will compete in the early-evening timeslot with NBC-affiliate KCRA, CBS O&O KOVR and ABC-affiliate KXTV.

Amy Kaufeldt becomes the anchor of “Good Day” in the morning for Fox’s O&O WOFL in Orlando. Amy has been an anchor and reporter for the station since 2003.

Eric Harryman is thrilled to be moving close to home where he’ll join KTXL in Sacramento as an anchor and reporter. Eric has spent the past three years with WAVY/WVBT in Norfolk as the 10pm anchor and reporter.

Kyle Cabodi made a huge market jump to join the reporting team with KUSA in Denver. Kyle was a reporter for KHBS/KHOG in Ft. Smith/Fayetteville, Arkansas for the past two years.

Christin Ayers will join KPIX in San Francisco as a freelance reporter. Christin left KMGH in Denver where she was a reporter for two years.

David Begnaud has joined KTLA in Los Angeles as a freelance reporter. David recently left KOVR in Sacramento where he was the lead nightside reporter. Read more
