Despite a widespread push for NBC affiliates to boycott “The Playboy Club,” every NBC-affiliated station but one will carry tonight’s premiere of the “provocative” new show, a 1960s-era drama set in Chicago.

Advocacy groups have urged stations to boycott the show. One such group — Morality in the Media — has launched a website, closetheclubonnbc.com, which urges viewers to call their local NBC affiliate and “bombard them with messages that Americans don’t want pornography promoted on the public airways.”

Despite the push, only KSL — the NBC affiliate in Salt Lake City — will not carry the show’s premiere tonight. The show will air on KMYU, the market MyNetwork affiliate, instead. Read more
