Oregon Man Tells KPTV Crew Covering Stabbing He ‘Did It’

A KPTV interview with the roommate of a stabbing victim quickly turned into a confession.

According to Portland FOX affiliate reporter Kate Cagle, she was surprised when Cody Clarkson spoke to her after being detained by Sheriff’s deputies in connection with the stabbing of his roommate. She asked Clarkson who may have stabbed the man. Clarkson said, “I did it.”

Clarkson was questioned by Sheriff’s deputies who initially let him go. He was later arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and is set to appear in court next Thursday.

KPTV Reporter to Occupy Protestors: ‘I’m One of You’

“I’m one of you!” KPTV reporter Jamie Wilson told a group of protestors while covering the Occupy Portland demonstrations.

“I have student loans. I can’t get out of debt,” Wilson said. “I had a ridiculously high-priced college education and my real world job has not given me the salary to pay it off” (video above).

A graduate of Linfield College, Wilson has been a reporter with KPTV since 2000.
