Anchor Linda Jackson Moves to Mornings at WPTA

Linda Jackson is stepping into the role of morning anchor at WPTA-WISE, the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette reports.

Jackson, who currently anchors at 5:30 and 1o p.m. on weeknights, shifts into the new role after morning anchor Mary Collins was arrested for drunk driving last month. Collins has not appeared on WPTA since her arrest. President and general manager Jerry Giesler told the Journal-Gazette that Collins is no longer employed at the station.

Jackson’s first day on the morning newscast will be August 13.
