San Francisco Univision Crew Pepper Sprayed and Robbed

kdtv_logoSan Francisco Police are looking for two suspects who pepper sprayed a news crew from Univision affiliate KDTV and stole their camera.

The robbery happened Monday night in the city’s Mission District.

According to San Francisco Police, two males, thought to be teenagers, ran up from behind the crew while they were breaking down their equipment and pepper sprayed them. The two suspects then took off with the crew’s camera.

The four victims were treated at the scene for eye irritation and released.

KPIX reports this is the third incident in the last six months. In September, a security guard working with a KRON news crew shot a suspect during an attempted robbery.
