Brian Bracco Named General Manager of KSHB

Brian Bracco has been named vice president and general manager of Kansas City NBC affiliate KSHB and sister station KMCI in Lawrence, KS.  Bracco comes to the Scripps owned station from Hearst Television where he was vice president of news for the station group.

“Brian Bracco will provide strong leadership at KSHB,” said Brian Lawlor, senior vice president of television for Scripps. “He is vastly qualified to motivate and inspire his staff to become the go-to source for news and investigations in the market. He also will lead the charge for creative sales solutions for current and future customers.”

Before working for Hearst, Bracco had been news director for KMBC in Kansas City.  He also worked previously at local stations in Wichita, KS, Columbus, OH, and Birmingham, AL.

3 Scripps General Managers Take On Expanded Roles

The Scripps station group has announced a restructuring in station leadership, with general managers Ed Fernandez, Sam Rosenwasser and Steve Wasserman taking on expanded roles.

Fernandez, currently the general manager of WXYZ in Detroit, will also oversee KSHB-KMCI in Kansas City and the Azteca America affiliates. Rossenwater, general manager of WEWS in Cleveland, will add KJRH in Tulsa, WMAR in Baltimore and the LiveWell affiliates. Wasserman, general manager at WPTV in West Palm Beach, will also oversee KNXV in Phoenix, WCPO in Cincinnati and WFTS in Tampa. Read more
