KSAZ’s UFO Mystery ‘Solved’

The mystery behind the big flash of light that appeared in the sky during a KSAZ traffic update last Thursday morning has been solved.

The KSAZ news team was initially unable to determine the origin of the flash, which appeared on a live traffic camera, but now, after some sleuthing by reporter Miriam Garcia, the Fox O&O has determined that the orb of light was caused by an electrical breaker.

Shop Owner Tells KSAZ that Snake Thief Spent an Hour with the Animals in His Pants

By now, you may have heard of the 22-year-old Mesa man who was caught stealing snakes from a local pet store by stuffing them in his pants. Well, KSAZ adds an interesting (gross) wrinkle to the story: the Phoenix Fox O&O caught up with the owner of the store this week and he told reporter Miriam Garcia that the suspect hung out in the store for a long time after grabbing the snakes.

“He hangs out here for an hour with the animals in his pockets.  He doesn’t just take off with them, he hangs around,” the owner said. “Really bold” (video above).
