Elle Duncan Joins NESN From WXIA

elle duncanElle Duncan is joining NESN as an anchor, host and reporter in February 2014.

“Elle’s incredible sports knowledge, relatable personality and quick wit stood out as best-in-class during a nationwide search for top new talent in sports television. We are very excited to bring her skills and personality to New England fans,” NESN vice president of programming and production/executive producer Joseph Maar said in a statement.

Duncan comes from Atlanta NBC affiliate WXIA, where she has been a traffic reporter since May 2012. She also currently works as a sideline reporter for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.

Hartford’s WTIC Partners With NESN For Red Sox, Bruins Coverage

NESN and WTIC, the Fox affiliate in Hartford, have announced a content-sharing partnership for coverage of the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.

As part of the partnership, NESN’s analysts and announcers will do pre-grame reports for the Hartford station. WTIC sports director Rich Coppola will appear on NESN’s Red Sox pre-game shows, and the WTIC weather team — Joe Furey, Rachel Frank and Dan Amarante — will deliver the forecast for NESN’s pre- and post-game shows.

“This unique partnership allows two powerhouse organizations to come together to provide a unique experience for its audience,” WTIC general manager  Richard J. Graziano said in a statement. “Delivering FOX CT award-winning sports and weather coverage to the strong and loyal Red Sox and Bruins fans in Connecticut is a win-win situation for everyone.”

NESN, WBZ Combine Forces for Boston Sports and Weather Coverage

NESN is teaming up with WBZ, the CBS O&O in Boston, to share content and coverage of Boston sports and weather.

The partnership is the first of its kind in the country between a regional sports network and a broadcast station in the same market, according to a NESN press release. The agreement, which will primarily apply to coverage of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins, officially gets underway tomorrow.

NESN’s Don Orsillo, Jerry Remy and Jenny Dell will provide live pregame reports from Fenway Park for WBZ’s noon and 6 p.m. newscasts, while WBZ sports anchor Dan Roche will be a regular guest on NESN’s pregame shows. Read more
