Car Crashes Behind WNYW’s Antwan Lewis During Live Report on Whitney Houston’s Funeral

WNYW reporter Antwan Lewis appeared live on Fox sister station WTXF this morning, covering the New Jersey funeral of Whitney Houston, when a car collided with another vehicle directly behind him.

At the time of the collision, Lewis was listening to a question from WTXF anchor Mike Jerrick, who apparently didn’t realize that there had been a fender bender just feet away from the reporter. In Wake of Whitney Houston’s Death, Former Anchor Roy Hobbs Recounts His Battle with Drug Addiction

Roy Hobbs, whose decades-long career as an anchor and reporter was derailed by drug abuse, opened up about his struggle with addiction in a recent interview with Birmingham CBS-affiliate WIAT.

After working as an anchor at WAGA in Atlanta and ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Hobbs was arrested in April 2010 for possession of crack-cocaine.  In the wake of Whitney Houston‘s death, Hobbs felt compelled to share his story with WIAT (video inside). Read more
