Two Months After Suffering Cardiac Arrest, Susan Koeppen Returns to KDKA

After a two-month absence from the KDKA anchor desk, Susan Koeppen returned to the air for the 6 p.m. newscast yesterday evening.

“You may have noticed that I’ve been missing for a couple months,” Koeppen said. “On November 20, 2011, a date I will never forget, I was out running with some friends and I suffered cardiac arrest.”

Koeppen, who joined KDKA in September, has undergone several surgeries since November. Watch the KDKA report, “Susan Koeppen’s Story: The Gift of Life,” after the jump.
