There are changes coming to the anchor lineup at WTTG, the Fox O&O in Washington, DC.
Will Thomas is stepping into the role of weeknight 5 p.m. anchor alongside Shawn Yancy. Thomas, currently the station’s weekend evening anchor, will also report for the 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts in his new role.
Thomas replaces Laura Evans, who will step into the role of weekend evening anchor alongside Maureen Umeh. Evans will expand her reporting duties at WTTG, contributing to the weekday newscasts as the consumer reporter.
Station sources tell TVSpy that Evans was offered a new contract with WTTG as part of the swap.
