“He emailed me,” Boey told the Orlando Sentinel. “I thought at first, ‘I’m not going to get my hopes up.’ I went and met him in a public place. I asked to see his ID. I asked, ‘Why me?’ He said, ‘Because I trust you.’ He watches us all the time.”
Boey said Robert Zimmerman seemed “very tired, stressed.”
“Robert Zimmerman wants the best for his son,” she said. “He couldn’t stand that his son was being slammed by the entire country.”
