WTXF morning anchor Mike Jerrick defended Fox News correspondent Doug Luzader this week after he appeared to be sleeping when Austin Fox O&O KTBC patched to him for a live hit on Wednesday morning.

“It was obvious you were reading,” Jerrick told Luzader, who was appearing on WTXF via satellite. “That guy in Austin is a nut.”

Jerrick went on to explain that Luzader was reading The Washington Post at the time and KTBC didn’t have his earpiece “dialed in” properly. Video inside…

For the record, it doesn’t appear that Jerrick’s counterpart at KTBC, Joe Bickett, ever publicly accused Luzader of being asleep.
