D.C.’s Most Loathsome

Two local bloggers, DCSOB and DCeiver, have put together a list of D.C.’s Most Loathsome People, playing off New York Press’s recent 50 Most Loathsome New Yorkers.

The D.C. list, which leans to the left, ranges from such stars as Tom Delay to Jessica Cutler (i.e. Washingtonienne), and perhaps not surprisingly contains some of the D.C. media world’s darkest stars: Michelle Malkin, WP columnist Charles Krauthammer, Bob Novak, Janet (one of the Post’s Going Out Gurus), WP Sunday Source columnist Carolyn Hax, and–at #4 the highest media type–the owner of the Examiner Philip Anschutz.

Novak earns perhaps the roughest write-up: “When Jon Stewart calls Novak a ‘douchebag of liberty,’ he’s being kind. Novak is fright–he’s a gargoyle that looks like he’s been made of cheese and left out in the sun for a week. Utterly mendacious and thoroughly meretricious, this walking sack of shit is the type of person you cross the street into oncoming traffic to avoid. When he walks over your shadow, you lose a piece of your soul…. Novak’s no journalist, he’s a dirty bag man without the brainwaves to create anything original on his own.”
