Ted Kennedy will join Princess Diana, JFK, Jr.and Michael Jackson as one of the few honored with a TIME Magazine commemorative issue.

Time’s commemorative issue for Sen. Kennedy will hit newsstands on Friday, August 28. Columnist Joe Klein, Bob Shrum, Ted Sorensen, and Mike Barnicle are contributing remembrances to the commemorative issue, which will additionally feature stories by TIME editors. Stories from the issue will appear on TIME.com.
