Professional/Personal Overview
A creative and curious writer, I recently launched Mother of All Interns: Chronicling the Adventures, and Likely Misadventures, of One Mostly Stay-at-Home Mom's Wildly Dream_Filled Career Reinvention. Previously, I was a freelance writer & copy editor for F&W Media's Stitch Craft Create, a magazine devoted to the creative lifestyle. Additionally, I wrote a weekly real estate feature for The Huntsville Times/AL.com and contributed freelance pieces to Spark Magazine (lifestyle) and GrowingUp (parenting). Before pulling up my Yankee roots and giving up city life, I developed two-Web based lifestyle features for Chicago's original online city guide, Centerstage Chicago. "Traffic Jam" chronicled my city-goes-country girl adventures; and, the quirky Q&A "Tea @ 3 profiled everyday Chicagoans with unique flair. I also contributed various food, lifestyle & entertainment content to the site.
