Does CNN Have a Challenger to its Best Political Team on Television?

A TVNewser reader noticed that CBS News is currently running a promo which bills itself as the Best Political Team in on Television; awfully similar exactly like CNN’s Best Political Team on Television.

CBS insiders tell us it’s just a part of the promo copy, not a tag or positioning line.

Interestingly, it was CBS’s Katie Couric who poked fun at the braggadocio of the networks. During a February edition of the CBS Evening News, while introducing Bob Schieffer and Jeff Greenfield Couric joked, “Let’s turn now to the best political team in the galaxy….Gentlemen, I’m sure you like that.”
