That 15 minutes might just be stretched to 24 hours.
After making the rounds on the phone last night, Joe Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber, chose Good Morning America for his only network morning show interview. An ABC insider tell us GMA had “bookers on the ground” in Holland, Ohio, as did the other networks. GMA producers started working the phones during the debate and got through to Joe first, “and that’s how we got him,” says the insider, adding, “He said he’d do us, and he’s a man of his word.”
Wurzelbacher also held a news conference this morning outside his Holland, Ohio home which was carried live on MSNBC.
His brush with network news fame began 10 minutes after the debate ended last night with phone interviews on Fox Business network and a few minutes later on CBS. ABC’s Terry Moran also spoke with Joe by phone on Nightline.
