…And Here’s Your One Show Call for Entries Theme, Jury List

While we’re on the awards tip, might as well get this out of the way. Apparently, the One Club is feeling quite whimsical at the moment, which explains the theme of their 2012 One Show Call for Entries campaign. Yes, as you see above, everything’s “ONEderful” in the world of the One Show, which will take place the week of May 7, 2012 in NYC. It looks like the halcion kicked in judging by the ONEderful campaign poster above, which was created by D.C.-based Design Army. The deadline for all One Club award shows, as you can see, is January 31 (anyone want to bet we’ll see a deadline extension soon?). You can enter here.

As for your jury list, familiar names like Eric Silver, Steve Simpson, Jeff Benjamin and Will McGinness are all included. Peep it in full after the jump.

Anderson, Silverglate Join CHI NY as ECDs

The creative team of Jeff Anderson and Isaac Silverglate (art director and copywriter, respectively) have left the Bay Area and returned to New York to take on the role of ECDs at CHI & Partners. For the last 18 months, the pair has been working at Goodby on Cheetos and Chevrolet. Of course, there was their notable stint at Droga5, where they created the “Great Schlep” campaign, which racked up Gold and Titanium Lions at Cannes.

Anderson and Silverglate, the former Young Guns who began their partnership at TBWA\Chiat\Day and worked on Masterfoods (remember the “Man Mom” work for Combos?), explain their move to CHI in a statement, saying, “We’re very excited about this opportunity, and are eager to see what this new NY team is capable of. We owe a lot to whatever we absorbed from our creative mentors, like Gerry Graf and David Droga. And CHI is the perfect fit for us. We clicked right away with Johnny Hornby, Victoria Davies and the rest of CHI leadership. Their philosophy, based on teamwork within the agency and with clients, fits perfectly with how we see a successful creative dept. Plus, they’re British and we find their accents calming.”

We agree that British accents indeed are calming.

Rihanna Makes Drinking Tap Water Somehow Look Sexy

Former 180 LA creative director Amir Farhang, who joined up with prodco Uber Content last fall, directs this latest round of spots supporting Droga5′s ongoing Tap Project for Unicef. The black & white ditty above stars music megastar Rihanna, who gets help from a smooth tune and a purposely corny VO. This latest clip, one of four in a “Celebrity Tap” campaign that also stars Taylor Swift, Vinnie Chase and someone named Selena Gomez (her clip is after the jump), comes with a contest where you can “win bottled tap water from the gilded faucets” of said celebs. Yum? Check out the Gomez’s chirpy spot and credits after the jump.
