Match up the shareable style of BuzzFeed with the journalistic brand of CNN and you get their new online video venture, “CNN BuzzFeed.”
BuzzFeed announced the deal Tuesday, calling it “a new generation of video content.” The partnership also includes YouTube, which will host the exclusive content.
“BuzzFeed has built a remarkably engaged audience and their YouTube channels are a testament to their understanding of news and entertainment,” said YouTube Director and Global Head of News Content Partnerships Jed Simmons. “They have a very special way of telling a story. BuzzFeed’s decision to double down on their YouTube channels is incredibly exciting and we look forward to continuing to work together and helping them grown.”
