The Hill’s Cartoonist Says Adios

Stand And Deliver 512

The Hill and the publication’s longtime cartoonist Chris Weyant are parting ways. One might say his time there has drawn to a close.

Editor-in-Chief Hugo Gurdon announced the news Monday afternoon.

So far, it’s unclear whether he’s leaving by his own choice.

See the internal memo that doesn’t lead on either way. The memo:

Today is Chris Weyant’s last day at The Hill. He has drawn for us for many years with great flair and humor, as you know. He is highly talented and his work appears regularly in The New Yorker’s pages as well as in ours. Chris’s cartoons hang on many lawmakers’ walls on Capitol Hill, for he amuses the powerful people whom he lampoons. Chris has been a great colleague. We thank him for his contributions to The Hill and wish him the best for the future.
