I specialize in science and environmental writing for any age or target audience. My range of work extends from scientific journalism, features for children and contemplative essays, to exacting profiles, how-to's and educational pieces.
I'm interested in working for magazines, newspapers and trade publications, as well as on advocacy projects for environmental non-profits and documentaries.
I earned my B.S. in biological sciences and concentrated my studies on wildlife biology and conservation efforts, and completed University of California, Davis’ two-year creative writing program.

I've worked as a senior writer and editor in corporate communications for 12 years developing, writing and editing high profile communication plans, creative campaigns, press releases, radio interviews, white papers, company literature, key messaging, radio spots, video scripts, executive messages, profiles, internal communications, advertorials, ads, Web content, and contributed numerous byline features in magazines and newspapers. I created and developed materials for children that gained the attention of the White House and are used worldwide.
