Professional Experience

I love gas stations, and I worked as a cashier at one for almost two years because of the stories: first-responders and veterans getting their free coffee love to talk, the regulars who bought lottery tickets every day with the hope that one ticket could change everything, the chainsmokers and the sugar fiends. I peeled back the surface and saw America in a different light. The emotions at the gas station were raw, and interactions told larger truths. These are the kinds of stories I seek.
