Professional Experience
From interviewing Benazir Bhutto to hanging at President Rajapaksa's summer house, from reporting on Kolkata's urban renewal to Mumbai's slums, from interviewing India's chief economic advisor to covering India's tourism rebranding - when it comes to South Asia coverage, I've done it all.
Originally hailing from Australia - where I was a television journalist for the government broadcaster, ABC - I now mostly write magazine features for publications around the world from my base in India. I am currently the New Delhi correspondent for Monocle, contributing magazine stories and radio work, and I welcome any opportunity for more freelance work.
I am a pure generalist: I can, and do, write on everything from society & culture to economics, travel to politics. While based in New Delhi, I travel regularly around the region.
