A less-than-friendly competition between the city's top two bagel bakeries based on 100% objective standards such as freshness, and quality. But then I throw in taste and my objectivity goes out the window.
A rundown on Montreal's best options for poutine, from the classic 24 hour La Banquise and its loose interpretation of Mexican food to petite powerhouse Ma'amm Bolduc.
A researched article on the benefits and how-to's of sprouting grains, plus three recipes with nutrition information for: Sprouted Chickpea Hummus with Lemon and Smoked Paprika; Sprouted Quinoa Pilaf with Miso Dressing; Candied Walnut and Sprouted Buckwheat Salad with Apple Vinaigrette

Interviews

I interview illustrator Adrien Tomine about the New Yorker and his new book, New York drawings.
I interview Quebecois sommelier Xavier Burini of restaurant Les Trois Petits Bouchons. The radio piece I edited for CKUT Radio 90.3FM was made with my Zoom H4 recorder. I translated it from French and interlace my translation with the original interview. We talk abut the differences between natural wines versus biodynamic and organic, as well as the health benefits of the popular wine trend.
