Professional Experience
++ Social Media Marketing & Content Strategist ++
I have more than a decade of experience connecting high profile organizations and brands with the online audiences that matter most to them, and I have extensive experience managing and growing healthy online communities. Between 2010 and 2014 I served as Social Media Manager with Scripps Networks Interactive, handling digital engagement strategy for HGTV and DIY Network. Previously, I was Senior Digital Producer with WBIR-TV, the Gannett-owned, NBC affilliate with the highest ratings of any local newscast in the country. I began my career in emerging media as one of the first online producers with the converged Oxygen Cable TV Network.
My freelance writing has been published in The New York Times, Salon.com, the Chicago Tribune, Harvard Journalism School's Nieman Reports, and a wide variety of other print and online publications. My essays appear in a number of literary nonfiction anthologies.
