I excel in putting together features and series on food, culture and sports, but I'm also looking for a foothold in reporting, blogging, magazine pieces and so forth. No matter the subject, I generally spend the majority of my work day doing meticulous and exhaustive research, so the occasional proofreading or editing job would be a welcome break from having my nose in the books. To this point, my contacts at national blogs have given me the majority of my breaks. The exposure is fantastic, of course, but I would also jump at the chance to challenge myself by tailoring my voice for a regional or alternative audience.
