Professional Experience

I've co-authored four popular non-fiction books, and have written for several national magazines. My co-authoring work includes books with Senator John Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry, Newsweek journalist Maziar Bahari, human rights activist Pam Cope, and Army Chaplain James Yee. I've also book-doctored two books and have written for the New York Times Magazine, Salon, Huffington Post, Metropolis and others. My work is varied, with a bent toward human rights issues and social justice. I'm equally comfortable interviewing the head of UNICEF as I am a street artist who makes a living creative subversive underground art. I have never missed a deadline (not even on any of my books!), and have a wonderful relationship with every editor I've worked with. I've been sent on reporting trips to West Africa, Southeast Asia, Guantanamo, and several states in the U.S. I am also a very skilled and capable researcher. I'm flexible, easy-going, and always eager to write as much as I can!
