Professional Experience
Whether I'm creating, crafting, shaping or perfecting, I take delight in the written word. As a writer, I create compelling, lucid copy. As a publicist and communications maven, I craft press releases that command editors’ attentions and get results. As a copyeditor, I whip copy into shape with a quick hand and an eagle eye. I cut my teeth at the San Francisco Bay Guardian and have experience on both sides of the editorial/promotional aisle, so I understand the needs of editors and journalists as well as marketing and public relations. Adept and versatile, I can apply your brand or organization’s voice and style to a variety of mediums, or I can edit, shape, and fine tune your copy.
My particular areas of interest are arts and entertainment, film, media, culture, lifestyle, travel, women’s issues, health, and sexuality, but I'm always open to assignments in other areas.
