Professional Experience
Andrea Lynn's food writing destiny can be traced back to a childhood of swiping her mom's Gourmet magazines from the mailbox.
After earning a degree in English-creative writing, Andrea Lynn worked as a lifestyle writer at a suburban Atlanta newspaper where she tackled the weekly food section. To increase her culinary knowledge, she moved to New York, where she earned a degree from the Institute of Culinary Education.
After stints working at a New York Times three-star restaurant and as a personal chef, she edited recipes for Art Culinaire, a quarterly publication geared toward restaurant chefs. Currently, she is Senior Editor at Chile Pepper magazine, where she develops and tests recipes for the spice-obsessed audience combined with writing and editing duties. She also has weekly blog posts on fiery food for the James Beard-award winning website Serious Eats. Her portfolio can be viewed at www.andrealynnfoodwriter.com.
