Professional Experience

A hungry and vivacious young editor, writer/journalist with extensive experience in pop culture, media, video games, music and the Los Angeles and New York City markets. I've covered stories ranging from interviewing Live Planet co-founder Sean Bailey to writing about a Southern CA beer brewing company to reviewing the latest Sony Playstation2 video games for regional and national publications. I currently work for the Press-Telegram in Long Beach as their Manager of Magazine Publications where I launched three successful regional magazines (San Pedro Magazine, Downey Magazine & Coastal Scene Magazine). As editor-in-chief of each publication, my job consists of choosing, assigning and writing feature stories focused on the people, places, and events from each magazine's region across Southern CA. I manage a stable of freelance writers and photographers, but am always looking for freelance work for myself to keep things interesting.
