Professional Experience

From Watsu to weaning, Le Corbusier to Le Cordon Bleu, public journalism to public radio, my beat is broad. I specialize in design and architecture; health and spa coverage; parenting and child development; food and travel; and all things under the rubric of public journalism. A prolific writer and editor, I have published more than 100 articles in national and local magazines, co-written a play, edited books, and created an innovative magazine about public radio for KJZZ and KBAQ, the NPR affiliates in Phoenix, Arizona. I currently teach magazine writing at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at ASU and manage digital communication and social media for the Musical Instrument Museum, a Smithsonian affiliate museum in Phoenix. Whether you're looking for a full-length feature, pithy Web copy or an entire book, I'm available for all your editorial needs.
