I pitched and reported this story about a lack of emergency shelters for women along the Gulf Coast five years after Katrina.
This is one example of a story I wrote about my battle with anorexia from the ages of 10 to 15. Current was produced by Newsweek and distributed to college campuses, but it is no longer publishing now.
Tulsa was not one of the first choices for Teach for America to expand to. But generous donations from local groups drew the organization to the city. I looked back at its first year for the cover story of the annual education issue of TulsaPeople.

I wrote about the changing immigration and labor laws in the Northern Mariana Islands, where I lived and worked for a local newspaper for about a year.
Examining the impact remittances have on Mexican families. I wrote the story as part of an indepth reporting project while a senior at Arizona State University. The project took me to several cities in Arizona, the Arizona-Mexico border and deep into the heart of Mexico.
