Professional Experience

An internationally published author and freelance journalist, I'm based in London and have worked in Paris, New York, Milan and Switzerland, covering stories ranging from design in northern Italy to exiled Middle Eastern film directors in Paris. I was editor-in-chief of World Media, a group that collaborated with 26 newspapers worldwide and put together special reports bi-annually. In Paris I was the correspondent for the Daily Star, the largest English language newspaper in the Middle East (based in Beirut, Lebanon) and covered anything that had to do with the Arab world in Paris and sometimes in Europe. I was a major contributor to guidebooks on Paris published by Insight Guides. I'm currently correcting proofs of a cookbook on Ethnic Paris to be published by DK Publishing in New York in April 2007 and reporting for the Daily Star from London.
