“It was like kids hitting me from every side. I don’t know where the hits were coming from,” said WHBQ photojournalist Mike Moore, after being attacked by a group of teenagers at a Memphis gas station.
Moore and reporter Lauren Johnson were working on a story about boys and teen pregnancy when a group of students from an area alternative high school began attacking Moore.
According to the Fox-affiliate, Moore was brought to Methodist Central Hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained during the assault. He was released a few hours later but not before recording the above account of the incident.
Two teens have been charged with assault and vandalism. Johnson escaped the incident unharmed.
