Professional Experience
My passion for writing goes back to elementary school, when I first laid my hands on a copy of Louise Fitzhugh’s novel Harriet the Spy. I read the book cover-to-cover in a matter of days, and acquired my own spiral-bound notebook to jot down observations about people and places. My love for storytelling has never waned. In the last 20 years, I have worked as a technology reporter, television producer, freelance writer, and marketing professional in the nonprofit sector.
I have a special interest in writing about outdoor pursuits (especially hiking, biking and skiing on the Western Slope of Colorado), adventure activities for adults and children with disabilities, home/design/architecture, and travel.
I currently reside in a remote ski town with a population of roughly 3,000. I freelance part-time (writing and marketing consulting), and otherwise spend my days keeping up with a precocious two-year-old boy.
