Course Details

You've been dissatisfied for a while. Maybe you woke up this morning and realized just how much you hate your job, or your current gig is okay, but you fantasize about another path. You want more from your career; something better, different, or new. Maybe you have an idea in mind; maybe not. You've been dreaming about making a change, possibly a big one, but how? If you know it's time for a career shift and you're motivated to start-or to begin figuring it out-this seminar will show you how.

In this seminar, you will learn:

  • How to identify what you really want
  • Ways to see if your skills and talents are a match for where you want to go
  • Step-by-step tactics for creating a game plan
  • Why knowing nothing about your dream career shouldn't stop you
  • Tools for keeping the momentum going
  • Why money is never really "the issue"
  • How to recognize if an opportunity is a stepping-stone or a detour

Pamela Mitchell
Pamela Mitchell, CLC, is the CEO and Chief Vision Officer for The Reinvention Institute (TRI), and has successfully reinvented her career twice during the past fourteen years. Her first job was on Wall Street, where she ran on-site training and managed third-party partnerships for Knight-Ridder Financial. After five years (and a director's title), she left to pursue her dream of working in the entertainment field. She landed at the Discovery Channel as International Sales Manager for the Multimedia group and, after several years, worked her way up to Director of Sales & Marketing/Europe-Latin America, Africa/Middle East for all consumer products. She then moved to Playboy, where she served as Vice President of International for Playboy.com. In 2003 she turned down another international VP job to change careers yet again, and founded TRI. She is a certified coach and a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the coaching industry's top professional organization. She also writes a bi-monthly column on women in business for Inc.com, the website for INC magazine.

Testimonials

Thanks to Pamela for being so candid and uplifting! It was refreshing to hear a thoughtful and practical approach to change. She made the idea of a career shift seem possible, and gave me inpiration to inject a sense of discovery in my professional life. I've reworked my resume and am steadily applying my free time to making that leap. Pamela is so much more than a cheerleader -- she's a champion of change.
