Course Details

In one weekend, learn how to create your own web page and get your name and your work out there for the world to see. We've partnered with the Association of Graphic Communications to bring this weekend series to you.

The first day will include an introduction to HTML and Dreamweaver, instructions on importing and formatting text, creating links, and using tables for layouts. The second day will explore adding images, setting page properties, creating and using graphics, and formats for online graphics.

By the end of class, you can expect to have:
A basic website.

Admission Requirements
This class is intended for writers and editors (not graphic professionals) Students should be comfortable with working on a Mac. Please submit a letter of interest and work history (including your experience working on a Mac).

Instructor Bio

Lisa Mermelstein
Lisa Mermelstein, M.A., has over 15 years experience as a Graphic Designer and has been a Web Development Consultant and instructor since 1995. Her clients include Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Time/Warner Inc., Workman Publishing, Random House, Young and Rubicam, J. Walter Thompson, Oracle, and PeopleSoft, Inc. She is on the faculty of the Association of Graphic Communications in New York, as well as at the Continuing and Professional Studies Program at Baruch College in their Web Design Certification Program. Lisa is a New York State Certified Teacher and holds a Master's Degree from New York University in Photography/Digital Media.
