Course Details

You started your novel, laptop blazing. You could write ten pages before breakfast. But as you got farther into the project, you started to lose steam, began to doubt your vision, and grew to hate the "Novel" folder on your hard drive.

This class is designed for those with longer works well underway who want to re-invigorate their projects. Whether it's help with structure or just the motivation to continue, this course will give you the tools you need to go the distance!

By end of the course, you can expect to have more than 100 pages of new work and a clear plan to finish your book. Plus you'll learn about how to go about preparing your manuscript for publication.

Admission requirements:
Please submit a letter of interest (including a brief work history) and a fiction writing sample (less than 2,000 words).

Testimonials

Shari was wonderful! Very helpful and reassuring. I loved how she was frank and just utterly honest. She told us how it really is, but didn't sour us on publishing our own works. -- Nicole Yanolatos

"Shari was excellent, very perceptive, and very encouraging. She had lots of specific examples from writing her own novel and novels she had read. This helped to both generate a first draft and improve on the content already there." --Dekker Dare
