Have you always wanted to turn your passion for parenting into a writing career? There are endless topics to cover when writing about parenting, from children's health and behavior to how to talk to your kids about serious topics. In this course, you will learn how to broaden your writing career by understanding the parenting market and mastering the keys to writing for it. We'll examine the many topics that fall under the parenting umbrella and how you can use your background, experience, and skills to come up with irresistible, salable ideas. We'll also explore what parenting editors seek in story pitches and how you can most effectively sell yourself and your suggestions to them. We'll study different story formats, from short service items to department articles and features to how to write and rewrite a strong piece.
