Circulation: 250,000 Background: Now in its 11th year of publication, this artsy fashion, music, and contemporary lifestyle magazine reaches the same demographic as Glamour -- even Teen Vogue -- but also caters to a hipster crowd that's into cutting-edge designers, indie bands, and under-the-radar culture. The mag was founded by husband-and-wife duo Marvin Jarrett (editor-in-chief) and Jaclynn Jarrett (publisher), and is their third major publication after Ray Gun and Bikini. Nylon readers are primarily women aged 18- to 35-years-old who live in cities and college towns. "They are a group of women who are constantly on the hunt for emerging pop culture, cutting-edge fashion and surprising beauty coverage," says former executive editor Stephanie Trong [Editor's note: Luke Crisell is now executive editor]. The magazine's distinct look and clear design aesthetic speak to the subjects covered within its pages, which feature more indie designers than most mainstream publications. Design-wise, Nylon is more similar in spirit to British music pubs like Dazed and Confused than Teen Vogue.... ![]() The How to Pitch series is worth its weight in gold. In just the first month I'd already benefited enough to consider the cost of joining well worth it. -- Gaen MurphreeAvantGuild benefits give you access to:
